Family Friendly
Easy paved trail, great for bikes, scooters, roller skates, and more.
Not many access issues - sometimes the parking lot is very full, but that is rare.
Need to Know
There are restrooms and water fountains near the entrance to the loop. There are few garbage cans on the trail, so keep that in mind. Also - we once saw a large pack of coyotes around dusk but have not spotted them since 2017. Just be aware and note that it's not recommended to walk alone after dusk.
Description
This is my absolute favorite go-to loop in the north-towns! It's a wonderful path no matter the weather - rain, shine, sun, or snow. Our dogs love romping in the couple of spots that have stream access. The path itself is smooth blacktop and great for walking, running, and any type of wheels.
There are always lots of families enjoying the path, and there are generally lots of birds and interesting bugs to see. The entire loop is about 3 miles, and is part of the UB bike path. The stream that runs by the path is Ellicott Creek.
Flora & Fauna
There are generally birds and bugs near the wooded areas, and sometimes feral UB college students! (Kidding on the college students, but you do actually see a class outside at the park now and then).
