“Enjoy the various loop opportunities out back here before returning on the bridges back to Poplar Ridge!
”
Parking at black strap road same for poplar ridge trail. Maps available here.
Description
Instead of turning right to ascend up Poplar Ridge Trail, continue straight onto the Outback Trail (also blue blazed) to access other loop trails farther out back. This 0.5 miles of the Outback Trail has some gradual ups and downs, but mostly two board width bridges over wet areas. Watch out for two way traffic as most of the bridges go for a good distance around turns and blind corners. Well maintained and better than riding through all the mud!
You'll pass a white blazed Lower Hemlock Trail loop on your left and then come to a junction with a red blazed Epiphany Trail on your right. Enjoy the various loop opportunities out back here before returning on the bridges back to Poplar Ridge!
