Need to Know
There is a restroom facility, but it may or may not be available, depending on the season.
Unfortunately, large portions of this park are being taken over by buckthorn and park management has been pretty active in clearing it out. This makes for some not-so-scenic parts through burned areas at certain times.
Description
This trail loop is a very easy, paved path. The trail can be used for light hiking, walking, and running in the summer, and skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. North lookout offers trail users a view over the Minnesota River.
Benches throughout Williams Nature Center provide a place to rest or reflect.
Flora & Fauna
Sometimes eagles and hawks can be sighted. Numerous species of songbirds call this park home including, chickadees, red wing blackbirds, cardinals, catbirds, nuthatches, woodpeckers, robins, and more. Most of the time, these birds can be heard rather than seen.
