The Humbug Marsh is current open only during special events or permitted activity. Trail will be fully open to the public around spring/summer 2019 coinciding with the grand opening of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge Gateway & Visitor Center, located on the northern adjacent property.

Need to Know

There is currently no parking when the trails are closed. During special events, close-by remote parking is available with shuttle to transport people back and forth. Please check the Refuge website for updates on trail openings.

-Bee balm, mountain mint, ironweed, goldenrod, milkweed, bulrushes, grasses, cattail, phragmites, sedges
-Deer, beavers, pollinators, muskrats, bald eagles, migratory birds, hawks
