Stay left while hiking up the Kirk Hill Trail #428 and watch for the trail map kiosk. Turn left on a trail heading slightly down hill through some meadowed forest. The trail soon heads up through a drainage before going west and leveling out. When you reach a large pile of lodge-poles set up like a lean-to, you are reconnecting with Kirk Hill Trail #428. Stay right and head down hill to finish where you began.
