Description

South Glade Run Crossing passes through beautiful hawthorne, cherry, and maple woodlands in a remote section of the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Passing through the upper stretches of Glade Run, hikers can enjoy views of slow-moving streams and tranquil meadows. The trail is relatively flat, although long grass and mud can add difficulty; you also cross Glade Run, it is shallow, but there are no bridges. This trail connects the Middle Valley Trail to the west and the Cabin Mountain Trail to the east. Combined, the trail system in the refuge can make for a pleasant multi-mile day hike.

Mountain bikes are also allowed on this trail.
