Description
As corny as this sounds, there are a few sections of this trail where the trees seem like something out of a dream, especially as they litter the trail with their leaves.
This trail starts on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail at the point going north where you're stopped by a sign that tells you to go no further unless, of course, you're not worried about either 1) getting shot, or 2) being prosecuted for trespassing. It's a shame that the Bonneville Shoreline Trail is cut off at this point. However, you don't have to turn back. Find the switchback that goes up the mountain. This is the trail to Eddie's Flat.
Once your reach the flat, there are at least two ways to continue. You can head north to a campsite with some supplies cached (please leave what you find), or you can head west along the north ridge of Bair Canyon. Consider making a loop by coming down the
Bair Canyon Trail if you parked at the Bair Canyon Trailhead.
