Need to Know

This trail is fairly open, so please bring lots of water and stay hydrated. Always be careful in the river, and be careful when the water levels are high.

Description

This trail starts at the parking lot and follows a gravel two track that turns into a dirt two track and eventually a single path that ends at a nice swimming hole on the Guadalupe River. Midway through the hike to the river, the trail passes the Philip Bauer House, built in 1878.

Flora & Fauna

Deer, cows, and many different birds can be found here.
