There is only one place to get water on this trail.

This trail starts from the parking area off Red Hill Road and climbs moderately to the summit of Red Hill. Follow the red plastic diamonds (the color corresponds to the Lakes Region Conservation Trust map). The trail climbs a short distance, then dips over Snowmobile Corridor #201 (on the left and right). It climbs to a wooden fence, with a gap, then passes a cellar hole (on the left).

Here, part of the snowmobile trail meets the trail from the rear left. At the kiosk, Cabin Trail starts to the right and Red Hill Trail continues left. The trail ascends over an old rocky road to a spring on the left. This spring might be the one that was created for the caretakers when the tower was still in use. The trail reaches the summit of Red Hill at 1.8 miles.

Please use caution when ascending and descending the fire tower.
