Starting from the end of the Strada Plesdinaz, an increasingly narrow trail passes by the St. Jacob Kirche (church) on its way to Ortisei.

The first 2 km (1.2 mi) are relatively flat and easy following the contour about 500 ft (150 m) above the valley floor. It is at this point that you'll reach the Sankt Jakob Kirche (St. Jacob's Church). The church lies in a clearing and from here, you've got a great view of the valley below and the Langkofel Massif to the south.

After the church, the trail narrows as it passes through the forest onto 6. You'll lose almost 300 m (1,000 ft) in the next 2 km (1.2 miles) along the way to Ortisei. There are several switchbacks along the descent, but the trail is generally nontechnical until you finally reach the Strada val'Anna.
