Description

From the parking lot, head back out towards the entrance. Look for a trail that heads right just as the road cuts left.

Throughout the trail you are in a mix of natural and cultivated forest. The trail ascends slowly for the first mile. From here, the trail gently heads down as it carves its way along the rolling hills of the gorge. Depending on the season, you occasionally catch a glimpse of the chasm, but you are mostly in thick forest.

Eventually you make it down Stone Place Road and you can go right to visit Tugaloo Lake and take a swim.
