One Way Only: This is designated as a directional trail.
Need to Know
There are multiple water crossings, ranging in depth, and fallen trees on the trail.
Description
The beginning of this trail is located at the Boykin Springs Campground and is marked. You can expect some of the markings to be destroyed or faded due to wildfires, but the trail is easy to follow. At 0.75 miles there is a broken bridge crossing that requires you to dip into a dried river bank with a steep crawl back up. Within the first mile, expect a water crossing that is above ankle deep along with a few more during the trip. Many trees of varying sizes have fallen over the trail, so expect an adventurous and challenging hike. Thankfully, you can hike around most of them.
On this trail, you can expect to see many different species of trees, white sands, a river that runs along the entire trail, and a mini horseshoe bend. At the end of the trail, the rewarding Aldridge Sawmill awaits.
