There is an entrance fee for Oracle State Park.
Description
This interesting loop is accessed right off the
AZT - Passage 13 - Oracle within the boundaries of Oracle State Park.
Seldom used, this trail most often is done starting on the east side and beginning down a wash for much of the first 1.15 miles. You'll then take a left onto the singletrack that heads uphill before winding around to the west. This turn is fairly obvious if you're looking out for it. There are a few large signs as well on this next section, along with some oversized cairns.
Continue on up some switchbacks as you climb a decently-sized hill. This singletrack may well be a bit overgrown much of the year because of the little use this trail gets. Once you top out on this largest hill there's a mixture of slight downhill and slight uphill running, but it's mostly smooth sailing. The trail isn't always very well-defined but is still reasonably easy to navigate.
Ultimately, the trail finishes back to the Powerline Trail. Take a right at the Powerline Trail and just down the hill 50 yards or so you'll come to the newer re-routed section of the
AZT - Passage 13 - Oracle.
