Description

This is the first section of the paved path that loops around Lake Perris. It technically starts by the dam, but most begin from the recreational area.

On this section, the trail crosses many driveways, which lead to different parking lots, so keep an eye out for cars entering or exiting the parking lots! It is an accessible trail and is paved from the Fisherman's Lot to the group camping area on Bernasconi Road.

The trail then leaves the recreational area and runs along the northern end of the lake, looping around the eastern point as it gains a little distance from the water. The trail then loops back and heads west on the southeastern edge of the lake. It leads past a small picnic area, though this is usually closed.

The trail ends at Bernasconi Road, but you can pick up Lake Perris Path - West to continue around the rest of the lake.
