Description
Starting at the horse parking area, this trail diverges from the horse path briefly for a lovely hike along the banks of Elk Creek. It then rejoins the nicely maintained grass pathway through a meadow to head along the margins of Elk Creek. It returns again via the hardwood forest bordering bluffs to the east. The meadow plants are high enough that, while on foot, you get the impression of being totally immersed in the path. Return to the horse parking area or continue onto the shelter along the path immediately to the north.
Flora & Fauna
Thistle, sycamore, elm, oak, poplar, deer, raccoon, rabbit, heron, and warbler can all be found in the park.
