Description
The yellow-blazed Lakeview Trail starts from the north end of the dam and proceeds east around the north side of the lake. The trail starts heading up out of the parking lot and continues to trace the outline of the lake weaving up and down and in and out of the ravines with the lake on your right and visible through the trees.
Eventually, the trail spits out at Dock #4; another paved parking area. Continue through the parking area and hike along the scenic paved road until you reach another parking area. At this point, head up the uphill powerline trail. At the top of the climb, you'll hit another paved road. Take a right at this road and look for the trail cutting down to your left after a hundred yards or so.
The trail reaches its end as it joins with the Campground Trail (white blaze),
Backpack/Bridle Trail (yellow blazes), and the Red Trail. You can continue on any of these trails or return the way you came.
