Description

From the parking area, head south on the main grass path. Take a right off the maintained grass, and follow this mown path. Where the trail splits, take a right to follow the path's interpretive signs in order. The signs instruct and inform, not just about this wetland but also the general natural history of the area. Near the end of the trail, the wetland truly takes over and if you are not wearing waterproof shoes I would recommend hiking along Middletown Road back to the entrance of the park. If you choose to continue on the trail, once you reach the point where the tail loop ends, take a left to head back the way you came.

Flora & Fauna

Cattails, wetland birds, hawks, numerous plant species.
