This trail is a steady climb right out of the Adam's Gulch Trailhead. There's a short fun descent about halfway up the trail, though there are some loose sections on the corners (like most trails in the area). It then climbs sharply again up to the connection with Harper's Trail.

As you climb, you're rewarded with increasingly beautiful scenery, especially back over your shoulder as you look south across the valley to the mountains in the background. It's a taste of what's to come as you climb further up into the trail system.
