The road is closed in the winter and usually opens on Memorial Day. It’s still accessible on foot or bike.

Description

Starting from the Summit Trailhead, take the Horse Flat Trail #250 through alternating aspen groves and meadows for a few miles to Primrose Overlook. There’s only one strenuous section, and it’s not too long. The views are definitely worth it. The trail ends at the overlook so you’ll definitely know when you’ve arrived.
