The trails at Galbraith Mountain are built and maintained by the WMBC - Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition and mountain bikers account for most of the traffic. Hikers are still welcome, but many trails are for descending riders only.

Description

The Ridge Trail is a popular and highly trafficked trail accessing Galbraith. The bottom connects to the Miranda trail (or nearby stairs entrance) to the kiosk at Checkpoint Kilo. Anticipate a steady climb with the occasional steeper section. There is also one area of optional exposure beneath an old tree.

While the scenery isn't remarkable along the entire trail, the view back across the city is well worth a pause and a breather. In warmer months, a pair of binoculars can sometimes be found in an ammo box to enhance the perspective.
