Description

From intersection with Chappells Field Trail, the Crist Ridge Trail descends from the Chappells Field Trail to the paved road directly across from the connector to the Rock-n-Ridge trails and the Mowery Hollow Picnic Area.

The descent of this trail starts as a fairly gradual 5% grade for the first 1.5 miles with a few rocks and some very brief uphills. After that, the trail transitions to a smoother with 11% drop for the last 1/2 mile featuring banked turns. Crist Ridge Trail is also the easiest (though not the shortest) way to climb the mountain.
