Description
Killer Bee Trail is a rough and rugged finish to hiking the Bar M trails. Located at the southern end of the Bar M network. The trail is most certainly advanced; be prepared for constant and steep descending over loose trail and slickrock.
Starting at an intersection with Bar-B and
Long Branch, Killer Bee starts by rounding the top of a hill and the descending very steeply down an old road bed. The slope is pretty much straight down with no changes in grade.
From here you'll head through a rocky gate and continue your near-vertical descent, this time on slickrock. If you haven't lowered your saddle by now, it might be wise to take a moment to do so.
At the bottom you'll roll into another intersection, the finale of Killer Bee Trail. Stay right for a segment that has tight switchbacks and some narrow and exposed trail. Stay left for a gnarly section. Both of these sections funnel into the
Moab Canyon Paved Path.
