Description

You can park near Stove Prairie School at the stop sign (the intersection of Stove Prairie Road & Rist Canyon Road), or drive ~three miles west from Stove Prairie Road along Old Flowers Road to the National Forest boundary and park.

The road has some challenging uphill grades and fun downhills to run, but could be a little monotonous for hiking. The scenery is beautiful through the regrowth of the 2012 High Park Fire. Ample campsites are situated along the way, making this a good option for backpackers looking to do an overnight.
