Description

Part of the Trace State Park trail system, the Boat Ramp trail adds challenge for those wanting to hike through the woods. Year round pine straw cover on most of this trail facilitates year round hike-ability even after rainy weather. When included as a third leg of the Trace State Park Trails, this is icing on the cake for a fantastic day in the woods.

Boat Ramp is the more challenging trail of this system. The many elevation changes on this trail keep your level of effort high. There is an optional fire road that cuts through the middle of this section if you are interested in a shorter hike. The trail runs in close proximity to the campgrounds and can be easily linked to the Baker Trail for a few extra miles.
