Description

Middle Ridge is easy to get to and easy to bail from if you are in over your head. The trail is best east to west and seems to get slightly easier in that direction as well. The beginning is a jumble of rocks that you'll have to navigate.

The trail intersects with several trails that traverse between Hunter Rd and Henstep Valley Trail, so there are always options to shorten your hike. The intersections themselves aren't always marked, but its pretty clear that you want to stay on the ridge and keep following the trail on the spine itself.

There are a few rock outcroppings along the trail to keep it interesting. At the end, the trail drops off a little steeply, so watch your footing.
