Description

From the Pump Station Trail, head up river. You immediately start uphill to get a prominent view above the creek before you come back down and reconnect with the river. Cross a creek on a good bridge, and you soon pass under the Cole Mill Bridge. You build up into the bluff above the river again only to go back along the river.

From here, the trail heads into the thick hardwood forest, and, eventually, you come upon a standing chimney—the only remnants of an old homestead. Below is the Bobbit Hole swimming hole and ford. Continue through the hills passing a couple of overlooks whose views depend heavily on the thickness of the foliage. Shortly afterwards, you power up one more hill before you connect with the Cabe Lands Trail and this trail ends.
