Description

From Selva di val Gardena (Wolkenstein in German), take the Dantercepies bubble lift to the upper station. This drops you almost at the Passo Gardena (Gardena Pass). From here, the trail varies from singletrack, doubletrack, and gravel road until the next town which is Corvara (Kurfar in German).

The first section until you reach the SS244 is mostly singletrack. You pass the Rifugio Jimmy Mountain Hut after 0.5 miles. (It's never too early to stop for a beverage?) From there, you head towards the pass, hiking on SS244 for a short distance. Just before reaching the pass, there is a trail to the left that takes you down into the valley. You'll lose 1500 ft of elevation in about the next two miles before the trail levels out as you hike towards Corvara (Kurfar in German) and the Col Alto lift.
