Description

After consistently climbing steeply from the get-go for 2.8 miles you'll reach the highpoint of the trail. After this point you can enjoy the long sustained downhill on the eastern half of the trail. The east half from the divide down to the South Boulder Road is the final descent of the Curly Lake Loop and is a fantastic trail. It is loose and rocky most often with open sections up higher and smoother near the creek bottom and a few tight switchbacks near the bottom.

Be aware that the eastern half of the trail is frequented by mountain bikers, who are often descending the trail as well. Please stay alert to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
