Family Friendly The trail is non-technical, and the climbs are gradual. My 10-year-old loves it.

Watch out for mountain bikers coming in the opposite direction.

Need to Know

There are 5 trails here. The main loop is the 1886 trail which is 3 miles. You must hike all trails one direction only. Therefore you can only do this Bankhead Trail (Orange) if you also combine it with the 1886 (Yellow) trail.

Description

Bankhead is a loop within the Quanah Hill trail system. It features a series of rolling ups and downs. The trail is mostly smooth, packed dirt and caliche with occasional roots and short rocky sections. This is the most fun section of Quanah Hill.
