Description
The trail offers nice views of the lake and mountains on Maine Island. Begin by heading south from the campground and Picnic Area #1, paralleling Santa Ana Rd. The path is paved for a portion and passes by the boat ramp and boat storage area before heading east on a dirt road around the Wadleigh Arm. The path continues south following the eastern hillsides to a nice bench. Though a low-key hike, wildlife sighting opportunities are good; deer, coyotes, squirrels, skunks, raccoons, opossums, and numerous bird species have all been identified here.
