Kids will enjoy this trail's gentle grades and manageable surface.
Description
From the parking lot on the south side of the bike path, ascend the doubletrack road. The grade is very manageable for the first 1.5 - 2 miles before becoming steep and somewhat loose.
At mile 1.7, there is a trail to your left that goes through a camping spot, that connects with
Peaks Trail.
At 2.5 miles, you'll reach a small cabin on the right side of the road. The grade at this point is rugged, and most people will be huffing and puffing for parts of this section.
At 3.4 miles, the trail connects with the CT - Segment 7: Miners Creek Trail. This trail is an alternate route that avoids some of the foot/bicycle traffic of the popular
Peaks Trail.
Note: This is a road, and as a result, you'll need to look out for cars, trucks, and motorcycle traffic.
