Family Friendly A bit long for a family hike, but perhaps good for a first "long hike".

Description

A surprisingly nice trail in an area that could use more of them. This is a mixed use trail, and you'll at times see mountain bikers, but in all it's a pleasant hike. Be sure to make a stop at the cemetery on the northwest side of the trail. It is well worth the short visit. The Horseshoe Trail in the same park is a very nice alternative if you have young ones or want a shorter trip.

Flora & Fauna

Probably quite nice in season.

First time for a complete walk around the Perimeter and I was pleasantly surprised. If you're in Fairview, a stop at Bowie Nature Park is a MUST. 4.3mi — 3h 00m
