The route takes you to the communities called "El Guayabal and El Tetero" from the community "Los Frios" right in the middle of the Dominican Republic.

This road route is one of the most exciting ones in the area. The route is pretty accessible for hikers, and the weather is wonderful throughout the whole year. Expect breathtaking views of the mountains.

There are no points of significant difficulty along the route because the altitude decreases as you go down. However, there are critical altitude challenges especially if you choose to go up to "El Tetero".
