For those who really, really like geology. It's a bit of a sand pit and, of course, you have to climb out.

Description

This is a sandy road through the desert - emphasis on sandy, which of course isn't that easy to hike through.

There are some interesting rock formations along the way, but the dirt roads north of the main park also have interesting rock formations and better flora.

Check with Park Rangers though as road conditions change, and it may not be so sandy when you're visiting. And of course they can also give you the standard warnings about heat and water.
