“Enjoy sweeping views of Dinosaur Valley on this quick trail.
”
For trail conditions, closures, and restrictions, check the park's website. As most trails either follow the river or require you to cross it, it is wise to check for closures prior to visiting.
Description
To access the trail, you'll need to cross the Paluxy River and follow the Paluxy River Trail to the cut-off. You'll follow the trail up a short, low-grade incline that comes to a wonderful overlook of the park. You'll enjoy sweeping views of Dinosaur Valley and the surrounding areas.
The trail then turns back towards the north where it winds down the ridge to join the Black-capped Vireo Trail. There is another unnamed foot path that follows the ridge from the overlook south that connects with the Cedar Brake Outer Loop. This trail meanders through mainly wooded forest but does have some open sections.
