Description

Starting at a junction along the Slickrock Creek Trail, the trail leaves the banks of the Cheoah River to follow Ike Branch up a densely forested ridge until it is just a memory.

When you come to a junction, you might want to stop and pull out the Hiking Project mobile app to make sure you're heading in the right direction. This area can sometimes be tricky.

Eventually, the trail will pass a campsite at Ike's Flat before ending back into the Slickrock Creek Trail.

Flora & Fauna

Experience this area in the autumn to see its hardwood forests erupt in fiery fall color.
