Features Views

Family Friendly Older kids can definitely handle this trail's moderate grades and manageable length.

The track passes through a working farm so please leave all gates as you find them. Kauri trees grow along these trails. Please use the gear cleaning stations at the start and end of your hike to prevent the spread of Kauri dieback.

Description

The Long Road Track is an old forest road that is slowly transforming to doubletrack and serves as a great connector to many of the other trails at Cascade Kauri Regional Park and beyond. While the track isn't quite as scenic as some of the others in the area, it still makes for a pleasant and shaded hike with only a few sections of steeper hills to contend with. The track also heads to the park's highest point where you can enjoy views of the coastline.
