Description
The Boundary Trail is an alternate route to Coyote Peak. Instead of taking
Coyote Peak Trail all the way to Coyote Peak, one can turn off of
Coyote Peak Trail, onto Boundary Trail, about 0.4 miles from the
Coyote Peak Trail trailhead.
For its first 0. 2 miles, Boundary Trail is relatively flat as it goes along the grass and brush-covered northeastern side of Coyote Peak.
The Boundary Trail then makes a sharp turn to the left, followed by a switchback, and begins climbing steeply for the next 0.4 miles along the grass-covered southeastern side of Coyote Peak. The views of the countryside, to the left of the trail, are awesome (even with the power lines...).
Boundary Trail levels out for its last 0.1 mile, just before it reaches an intersection with the
Coyote Peak Trail at Coyote Peak, where Boundary Trail ends.
Boundary Trail together with
Coyote Peak Trail, provide a nice loop around Coyote Peak.
