This is part of the Newton Hills State park, so an entry fee, or annual Park Pass is required.

Description

This trail is part of a loop I do at Newton Hills State Park.

After following the Turkey Trot Connector trail to the Horse Camp area, you can follow the Blue Diamond trail up the hills along the northern edge of the camp. The trail is well-marked and well-used.

You'll be sharing the trail with bikes and horses so the conditions of the trail in some areas are not the best, especially after a rain.

Flora & Fauna

Deer and other animals are abundant in the park. Also, because MUCH of the trail is in wooded areas, always take precautions (before and after) for ticks.
