This trail follows a ridge with almost complete tree cover the entire way. The trail connects to the Cactus Rocks Trail and the Sunset Deck. The Sunset Deck has a very nice view and overlook towards Lake Travis.

Along the trail there are several places where there are nice views out towards the lake, but they rarely fully develop due to the local flora. The sound of the road nearby is rather annoying as well. The trail itself is mostly flat but there are some very short, semi-steep sections.

Juniper ash, oaks, black-capped vireo and golden-cheeked warbler habitat.
