Description

Beginning at Buzzards Roost, this trail begins its gradual ascent. If it's rained recently you'll cross small creeks flowing shortly after beginning your hike, then the trail will begin following the Dallas Branch creek, named after Dallas Mill which was a textile mill beginning in the late 19th century and which this creek flowed next to.

The trail will pass through a small rocky area and will eventually cross Dallas Branch. Shortly after crossing the creek, the trail will cross the Flat Rock, you'll make a few switchbacks then connect to the Bankhead Trail. This trail was designed to be used as a mountain biking and hiking trail, so be prepared to cross paths with other trail users.
