Description

Restoration Way (RW) trail is a rugged trail accessible at the west end of the Friedrich Wilderness Park trail system. Restoration Way can be accessed at its north or south end from Vista Loop Trail off Mail Loop Trail.

RW is approximately 3.0 miles end to end with ascents and descents though hilly, scrubby woodlands and grassy areas. Juniper, Crepe Myrtle, Live Oak, Hackberry, Persimmon, Cedar Elm, and Red bud trees shade hikers throughout route.

The north end of trail is at the base of the Cielo Vista neighborhood. Large boulders and rocks will have to be overcome at different locations throughout path. At the 0.3-mi mark, the Mill Pass Trail cuts across this loop shortening the distance of RWQ. The Mill Pass Trail has a windmill near its mid-point.
