Description

Just beyond the junction of the Harris Street Bridge Trail and the Bluff Overlook Trail, there is a small rock shelter where evidence has been found of habitation dating back nearly 8,000 years. The trails follows along the limestone bluff to the pool at the mouth of a hand-cut, 100-yard tunnel that is on National Register of Historic Places.
