Bicycles are not permitted on this trail. Dogs must be leashed on Stream Trail, so trail users on this trail who descend to Stream Trail must leash their dogs before reaching it.

Description

This is a shady, secluded route between the West Ridge Trail and Stream Trail. There is a small offset between the ends of this trail at the junction with French Trail; trail users continuing between the upper and lower portions of the Fern Trail must turn left upon reaching French Trail, walk about 20 feet, then turn right to continue on Fern Trail.

Flora & Fauna

Oak, madrone and chaparral predominate near West Ridge Trail. Below that, coast redwoods and California bay laurels predominate. Also ferns!
