This trail starts from the 倉戸口バス停 Kuratoguchi Bus stop in Hara. After looping up the road, you'll pass a small shrine before entering the trail. The trail is moderately steep but is fairly well marked and easy to follow. If you are climbing, don't forget to look behind you for views of the reservoir and dam.

After a short S curve you'll reach the summit of Kuratosan 倉戸山, which is a small open space in the woods. You can stop here for lunch and turn around, or continue on upwards to Mt. Takanosu.
