The trail begins outside the nature center and is very easy to follow. Right after the parking lot, there is a wooden bridge over a small creek bed. After this, the trail crosses the Peach Creek Loop Trail and continues over the park road. About 0.5 miles in, the trail meets 5 Mile Rd and continues across the road. There is a bench at this intersection. The trail continues through the forest for another 1.1 miles until it ends at the junction of the Loggers Loop Trail.
