Description

Unlike other trails in the park, the Interior Canyon Trail - Illinois Canyon is notably devoid of man-made features like stairs, boardwalks, and bridges. This makes for an easy-going, natural feel as you ascend to the waterfall at the top of the canyon. Depending on the water level, there's a decent chance you'll get your feet wet from water flowing across the trail. As such, bring either waterproof footwear or shoes you don't mind getting soggy.

Flora & Fauna

Try to visit in the spring to catch the blooms of Virginia Bluebells filling the canyon.
