Table Top is a nice alternative to the steeper section of the Briones Crest Trail which runs parallel to Table Top to the west. If you aren't quite feeling up for the twists and turns and steeper grades of the Briones Crest Trail, just hop over to Table Top for a more gradual descent (or climb) on the east side of the park. This trail also gives you the option to connect to Spengler Trail for other loop options on the more shaded eastern part of the park.
