Description

The Peavine Canyon Trail (157) runs between Dry Mesa Road (108) and Peavine Corridor Road (089). The trail can be traveled in either direction.

From the south, there's ample parking near the trailhead across from a corral. Follow the trail on a logging trace into a grove of aspen. Pretty soon the trail descends steeply into the bottom of Peavine Canyon. From here, the trail continues gently downward along and across a pleasant creek to end at the road near another corral.

Although not in wilderness to start, much of this trail travels through the Dark Canyon Wilderness.
