Description

Starts out by crossing the Secesh River on a wide steel bridge. There is a small camping area there too but why not camp at Loon Lake just 20 minutes away? This trail offers various views as you parallel Loon Creek far below.

The route is fairly wide, but if you watch closely you can get a good laugh when you see the tracks of motorcyclists that were not skilled enough to stay on the trail. That said, be advised that you may encounter bikes, horses, and motorcycles.

Pay attention to the burned trees in the area. If the wind picks up or it rains hard, dead trees start falling. Also of note, this trail starts just a 1/2 mile from Secesh Hotspring, which makes a nice treat on the return.
